Abstract:

In classifying simple groups of finite Morley rank, one has to deal with so-called minimal (connected) simple groups. We prove a recognition result of PSL2 among such groups under natural assumptions on the involutions. No tameness hypothesis is required thanks to a 0-characteristic notion of unipotence.
