Abstract:

Quasiminimal excellent classes were introduces by Zilber [2005] in order to prove categoricity of certain classes of structure. Recently Bays et al. [2012] showed that excellence follows from the rest of axioms. In this paper we present a direct proof of the categoricity result of Zilber [2005] without resorting to excellence.
