Abstract:

We investigate the property of elimination of imaginaries for the theories of the lexicographically ordered groups ℤ^n and ℤ^n × ℚ. We prove that, adding finitely many constants to the language of ordered abelian groups, such theories have definable Skolem functions and elimination of imaginaries.
